A Different Kind of School Day.

Strive Charter School is a free K–4 public charter school opening in Fall 2026 in Mott Haven.

We are building a school with strong academics, extended hours, meals, hands-on enrichment, and year-round support for South Bronx families.

Our Vision

Strive gives children more time in a safe, joyful, and structured school environment while giving families the support they need before school, after school, on weekends, and during the summer.

 

Our Values

  • Literacy: Students build strong reading habits through books, conversation, and daily practice.
  • Play: Children need time to move, imagine, build, create, and explore.
  • Family Support: School should match real family life, including work schedules that go beyond 4 p.m.

Everything is Free. Strive is a free public charter school. Extended hours, weekend programming, summer programming, and meals are included.

Open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Strive is built around real family schedules, not just the traditional school day.

Meals Included. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included so families have one less thing to worry about.

Hands-On Growth. Students spend more time reading, playing, building, exploring, and learning through real-world activities.
