Free K–4 Public Charter School Opening Fall 2026

A different kind of school, built for how your family actually lives.

Strive Charter School is a free K–4 public charter school opening in the South Bronx in Fall 2026. We also offer early-kindergarten programming for 4-year-olds.

Rigorous academics, evidence-based reading instruction, extended hours, meals, and enrichment are built into one school model designed around real family schedules.

Open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Seven days a week.
Year-round.

Breakfast, lunch, dinner, after-school care, weekend programming, and summer programming are included.

Strive Unique

➜ At Strive, everything is free. We are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week, year-round.

➜ Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included every day.

➜ After-school programming runs from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, with dinner included.

➜ Saturday and Sunday programming gives students more time to read, play, move, and grow.

Our Schedule

7 a.m. to 9 a.m.
Strive Sunrise Program
Students enjoy breakfast, stories, movement, creative activities, play, and time to connect before instruction begins.
9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Required School Day
Students focus on reading, math, science, history, collaboration, and hands-on learning.
4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Strive Beyond
Students explore arts, athletics, STEM, music, creative projects, reading, and play. Dinner is included.
Sat. & Sun.
7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Strive Explorers
Weekend programming gives students time to read, create, play, explore new interests, participate in enrichment, and spend time with friends.
Summer
7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Summer Program
Full-day summer programming combines reading, projects, movement, play, meals, and exploration.

All Strive programs and meals are free for families.
