General Information
We are a uniform school with royal blue polo shirts and khaki pants. Polos and khaki pants, shorts, and jumpers are available for purchase through French Toast. Students will receive one free polo once their seat is confirmed. Shoes, socks, and backpack are not uniform specific but we suggest velcro or slip-on style shoes for younger students.
The required school day is from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, from September through June.
Before school, after school, weekend, and summer programming are optional.
Yes. Buses will be available for Strive students in the Bronx on weekdays during the school year.
Busing is not available on weekends or during the summer. Students will be assigned a pickup and drop-off time based on location.
Yes. Strive will provide breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks seven days a week.
Meals will be fresh and nutritious, cooked daily, and will accommodate dietary needs when possible, including halal, vegetarian, and allergy-sensitive options. Students may also bring their own meals or snacks.
Admissions & Enrollment
In our first year, Strive will serve students in Kindergarten through 4th grade. We plan to add 5th grade the following year.
We also offer pre-kindergarten programming for 4-year-olds.
No. Strive does not require pre-screening exams or placement assessments for admission.
At the beginning of the school year, we will use informal assessments to understand each student’s reading level and learning needs so we can support them appropriately.
Class sizes will generally be 22 to 25 students, with two teachers in every classroom.
You will receive an email with a link to the parent portal, where you can upload the required enrollment forms and confirm your child’s seat.

Curriculum & Programs
Yes. Strive will support students with IEPs, including speech, occupational therapy, counseling, and ICT classrooms.
Some highly restrictive settings, such as 12:1:1 or 6:1:1 classrooms, may not be available at this time. Families should contact us so we can review each child’s needs individually.
Strive’s academic program will include high-level Math and English Language Arts instruction each morning.
Kindergarten and 1st grade students will receive phonics instruction through Success for All programming. Students in 2nd through 4th grade will focus on writing, comprehension, and deeper reading skills.
Math instruction will build both computational fluency and conceptual understanding. In the afternoon, students will participate in a mix of project-based and play-based learning, including science, reading, and hands-on activities.
Strive will offer a strong music and singing program where students learn through songs and instruments.
Students will also have daily physical education, including sports, movement, and active outdoor play led by coaching staff.
No. Before school, after school, weekend, and summer programs are optional and are only available to Strive students.
If your child attends Strive, they are automatically invited to participate in our extended hours programming.
No. Weekend and extended hours are built for family convenience.
Families can choose to drop off early, stay later on weekdays, or attend Saturday and Sunday programming for any amount of time that works for them.
